The Road Not Taken
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I —
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Sunrise at Sea
I would often get up early to watch the sunrise when it was not yet quite light and all was quiet except for the droning of the ship engine.
The sky was pale with a bluish hue. Soon a streak of pink dawn
broke over the horizon, expanding gradually and becoming brighter and brighter. Knowing that the sun was about to rise, I had my eyes fixed on the distant edge of the sea.
Then, beforeI knew it, the dark red orb began to shine blazingly, dazzling my eyes until they stung and all of a sudden lighting up the surrounding cloud.
Sometimes, with thick layers of dark clouds hanging in the sky, the sun was hardly visible to the naked eye. But its radiance managed to show through the dark clouds to edge them with golden lace.
Then, after gradually breaking through the tight encirclement, it came into full view and even dyed the dark clouds purple or scarlet. At the moment, apart from the sun,the clouds, and the seawater, I too was luminous. Wasn't that a marvelous spectacle?

What You Need to Know About Tornadoes
No man is an island
Entire of itself,
Every man is a piece of the continent(大陆),
A part of the main.
If a clod be washed away by the sea,
Europe is the less,
As well as if a promontory(岬角)were,
As well as any manor of thy(你的)friend’s,
Or of thine(你的)own were.
Any man's death diminishes me,
Because I am involved in mankind.
And therefore never send to know
For whom the bell tolls;
It tolls for thee.

One cigarette in the non-smoker's tray.
As the last spire trembles up,
a sudden draught blows it winding into my face.
Is it smell, is it taste?
气味?味道?
You are here again, and I am drunk on your tobacco lips.
